The youngest official legend in the Australian Football Hall of Fame, Leigh Matthews AM played 332 games with Hawthorn.
He was captain for five years, played in four premiership sides, won a staggering eight Hawk Best & Fairest Awards, and was the club’s leading goal-kicker six times and the AFL’s leading goal-kicker once. He then went on to coach Collingwood to a drought breaking Premiership in 1090 and then the Brisbane Lions to three consecutive Premierships in 01 , 02 and 03.
Today Leigh is a highly respected commentator on television, radio and writes for the AFL website.
