PROFILE

Huriana has been influential for women’s rugby both on and off the field. On the field, Huriana has nearly achieved everything possible in women’s rugby. She was instrumental as captain for the Black Ferns, she would lead her to team to victory in the inaugural Sevens World Rugby Championship in 2013 and at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games. What separates Huriana from the rest is her passion to grow women’s rugby around the world.

As a world class development coach and mentor, Huriana has hosted coaching clinics all over the globe for all levels from beginner to high performance with programs tailored for individual, group and teams needs. With fitness in the blood Huriana now owns and operates F45 Te Atatu with her husband ex professional rugby player Derek Carpenter and is a proud mum.
