Lisa Sthalekar
PROFILE
An all-rounder who retired from International Cricket in 2013, Lisa made her debut for Australia in 2001 and has been part of 4 successful World Cup victories (2 x T20 and 2 x 50 overs) with the last one being held in India, 2013. During her time with the Australian team she was vice-captain from 2006 – 2008 and had the privilege for a few matches captaining her country. Lisa is the first player in women’s cricket history to have scored over 1000 runs and taken 100 wickets.
Off the field, Lisa is still heavily involved in cricket, as a commentator around the world and you will hear her on Channel 7 throughout the summer. Plus holds a number of positions as the President of the Worlds Cricketers Association (WCA), Board member of the Australian Cricketers Association (ACA) board, with both positions being the first female and a member of the ICC Women’s Committee as the Players Representative.
