Julia Banks is a bestselling author and leadership consultant, and an experienced executive and non-executive director, general counsel and board member. Julia has worked with global companies & Australian organisations, across industries, the private and public sectors and all levels of government. Julia has also served as a federal government and independent MP in the Australian Parliament.
Julia’s expertise is in leadership, power dynamics – personal power vs. positional power, safe, healthy, and respectful workplace cultures, diversity and inclusion, reputational management and governance.
Julia’s current work is broad ranging and includes Keynote Speeches, ‘In Conversations’ with business leaders, panel work as Moderator, Facilitator, and MC of conferences, workshops and CEO and CxO roundtables. Julia also works 1-on-1 as an executive coach and mentor to individuals.
Julia’s bestselling book ‘PowerPlay, breaking through bias barriers and boys’ clubs’ a leadership resource guide and part memoir, was nominated in the 2022 Australian Book Industry Awards, and she has another book in the pipeline.
Julia also regularly authors opinion pieces which have been published in The Age, Sydney Morning Herald, The Saturday Paper & The New Daily, has appeared in radio, television, and mainstream media interviews and various podcasts.
