Steve Williams, MNZM (born 29 December 1963) is a New Zealander who has served as a caddy for several top professional golfers, most recently with Adam Scott. Williams is best known for having served as Tiger Woods’ caddy from 1999 to 2011. Woods was the top-ranked golfer in the world for much of Williams’ tenure as his caddy.
Steve has amassed over 150 tournament wins including fourteen major championships. His great success in the field saw him elected into the Caddy Hall of Fame in 2014.
Steve and his wife Kirsty run the Steve Williams Foundation raising funds for Starship Hospital and Ronald McDonald House. He donated one million dollars to Starship in 2008 for the rebuild of the oncology floor, which now bears his name.
In 2007 Steve’s contribution to children’s sport and health saw him become a member of the NZ Order of Merit.
It is less well known that he also has a great passion for speedway, is a two time New Zealand champion, and currently the Patron of Speedway New Zealand.
